Service kits

A service kit (also known as a maintenance kit) consists of a collection of different components that are used for the maintenance of products or systems. Typically wear parts are specified according to the OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience and the desired type of packaging is determined. The required components are put together by so-called kitting (assembly of service kits) and typically packed in aluminium cans or shrink-wrapped on cardboard with a plastic film.

We achieve the greatest added value for our customers when we manage the required range of items in a frame agreement or service level agreement. This leads to the fastest and most cost-efficient processes until distribution to the desired destination. The entire service is provided by LB IS and without the involvement of the customer.

Advantages of Service Kits

  • Optimisation of working time and reduction of movements: the fact that the service technicians have the parts directly to hand on site means that there is no need to search for the required materials.
  • Optimised supply chain: procurement and availability can be perfectly coordinated on the basis of forecast maintenance.
  • Short-term availability: depending on the agreement the required components are available in our warehouse and ready for delivery within 48 hours. If necessary, the service kits can be delivered anywhere in the world.
